Il Qatargate irrompe nel dibattito dei capi di Stato e di governo

Brussels –The chief inspector of the Brussels federal police force, who is investigating Qatargate, in particular, was allegedly poisoned, Belgian media reported. Following an illness, the senior police officer was first hospitalized and then operated on in the abdomen for internal bleeding. Tests found a massive presence of amphetamines. The man claims he does not use drugs and, therefore, said he was poisoned. The events date back to January 18, the day of the hospital rush.

An investigation has been opened to ascertain what happened, with the chief inspector officially filing a complaint for attempted murder by poisoning but without adding anything else on the matter. It will take time to figure out whether there was the reported attempted murder and if it could be related, in any way, to the investigation into the alleged corruption in the European Parliament known as the Qatargate affair.
