Eunews will no longer be the same newspaper as you know it. Before Christmas, probably already this week, it will double: in Italian and in English.
Same site, two addresses. To read the English version, simply choose it by clicking the language selector at the top right of the home page. If you choose it, you will find all our articles in English a couple of hours after they have been published in the Italian. It sounds simple, but the groundwork was complex, with a large part of our publishing company, Withub, that has worked and is working on this project. And I would like to thank here the great effort of those who are making this dream possible.
This is how our initial project will come to fruition: to burst the Italian bubble in Brussels to have a newspaper that speaks to Italy about the European Union, and to the European Union about Italy, in a vehicular language that is the most widely spoken in Brussels and the world.
Ours will not be a new ‘European’ newspaper without a nationality. No, Eunews is, and remains, an Italian newspaper, which talks about the European Union, but from an Italian point of view, and we will work to bring the needs of politics, civil society, and the business world here in Brussels, so that Italy can really speak to all the partners and institutions of the Union.
We decided on this endeavor when we realized that an article by one of our contributors, published in Italian and English, prompted, for the first time for the author, as many as two Commission cabinets to seek him out, in order to delve deeper into the question posed. This is how our project, born many years ago now, but which until now had not had the means to materialize, was perfected.
Now, finally, there is a newspaper that speaks about the European Union to Italy, and that will bring Italy’s voice to European decision-makers.
