Brussels – The EU Council has given the green light to assist North Macedonia’s defence and security capabilities. The Twenty-Seven adopted the decision to make available, under the European Peace Facility (EPF), €13 million for upgrading Skopje’s army. EPF will provide nonlethal equipment, related supplies, and services, including technical training—”where appropriate,” the EU Council specifies. The assistance measure will include support on intelligence-related technologies, surveillance and reconnaissance, electronic warfare and signal intelligence, logistics and engineering equipment, and communication and information systems.
