Brussels – The European Free Alliance (EFA) Group in the European Parliament has elected Diana Riba i Giner as the new chair of the EFA Group, which is associated with the Green Group. This marks an important milestone for the EFA Group as it continues its commitment to social justice and the rights of stateless nations, regions, and minorities throughout Europe.
Diana Riba i Giner, born in Barcelona in 1975, graduated in pedagogy from the University of Barcelona.
The European Parliament’s European Free Alliance Group brings together MEPs who support the cause of self-determination for Europe’s stateless nations, regions, and minorities. Under the leadership of Diana Riba i Giner, the Efa Group, a note explains, “will continue to support these causes, advocating for a Europe that values its diversity and works collectively for a greener and fairer future.”
