Stefano De Leo is the new Head of the European Union Delegation in South Sudan. The decision was taken by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton. Born in Belgrado in 1966, De Leo graduated in Law in Rome in 1991, entering the Foreign Affairs Service in 1992. Currently Italian Consul-General in Lagos, Nigeria, he has served as Ambassador to Moldova, as Deputy Ambassador to Iraq and as Italian Consul in Albania.
