Brussels – The European Commission has approved under the Eu Merger Regulation the acquisition of joint control of Jda Software by Blackstone and New Mountain, all of the United States. Jda Software is a global provider of software solutions, in particular supply chain management application software and execution enterprise application software. Blackstone is a global asset manager with controlling stakes in a number of providers of application software (i.e. RGIS, Ipreo, CMS Info Systems Ltd. and Change Healthcare). New Mountain Capital is a private equity firm which currently controls Jda Software. The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would raise no competition concerns, because the companies’ activities overlap only to a limited extent and several other competitors are present in the markets concerned. The transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
