For the first time in the history of the EU, the Semester Presidency will be identified with its logo together with the one of the Council of the European Union, and Italy will be the first to use it. In addition, the Council has revealed its new logo: no longer the traditional one with the Union flag framed in two yellow curve stripes, but the EU flag close to the new building – still under construction – which will host the meeting of Heads of State or Government shortly. The new Council logo is inspired to the Commission’s one – the blue flag with twelve stars and the stylized image of Berlaymont palace.
From July 1st two logos then: the EU institution together with the Member States holding the Semester. eunews can show you the image that will be with us in the following six months. Italy will be the first to side the new logo of the Council: another honour for our country.
