The next Director of the Italian Institute of Culture in Brussels will be Paolo Grossi, eunews sources said. Born in 1956, Grossi is a manager of the Foreign Affairs Minister with a strong experience abroad. He should be in office starting from July 9.
He was in Paris and Stockholm before Brussels: with a degree in Literature of the Torino University and a PhD in Romance Languages of the Caen University (France) obtained in 2005, qualified for teaching Italian Language and Literature as Associate Professor at the French University. Official at the Department of Cultural Promotion at the Office at the Minister from 2001 to 2003, then responsible for cultural activities at the Italian Institute of Culture in Paris. From 30 April 2005 to 30 September 2008 he was general delegate for the F.I.C.E.P. (Forum des Instituts culturels étrangers à Paris, institution gathering the foreign institutes of cultures operating in Paris). From October 2008 to November 2012 he was the Director of the Italian Institute of Culture in Stockholm.
He currently works in Rome, as second level director of the Directorate of Cultural Promotion at the General Directorate for the Promotion of the ‘Country-System’ as Expert in Cultural Promotion.
